This paper presents a new hybrid electricity-heat complementary heating system configured with electric heating equipment at the heat station, and the system is modeled, simulated, and analysed for performance. The results show that compared with the centralized electricity-heat complementary heating system, the optimization ratios of the hybrid electricity-heat complementary heating system with heat pump and thermal storage device are 1.91%, 2.41%, and 2.90% in environmental, economic, and energy efficiency indexes, respectively. With the proportion of the electric replacement heating load increases, the optimization ratios of each performance evaluation index of the hybrid electricity-heat complementary heating system gradually improve. Through electric heating, the renewable energy consumption of the heating system is increased, the loss of heat network is effectively reduced, and the system performance is greatly improved.
